Number of Characters

How many Characters are you allowed to have in the game? For example, if i wish to play a fighter next game with a group of newbies, would this be allowed? here is the back story to the question. i told some buddies about the LARP. Now, they want to play. They want to wonder around and kill stuff. While hand sewing shoes last night, I told some friends about my weekend and now they want to try it. Funny, I even have a name for this new Character...Tirodon OxBlood. I have some costume ideas as well.

You can have as many characters on the books as you want. However, you may only have one character of a particular race on the books at a time (for example, I could not make another human PC because I already have a human on the books).

Keep in mind that characters of the same person cannot share information or talk to each other.

Also you can only play one PC at a given event.

yeah, the only reason some of us have 2 characters handy is because we need something to play when you send a character out of town for extended periods of time for in play reasons.

So let me ask this question about number of characters. I understand you can only have say one human, elf, dwarf etc. on the books.I was wondering if you could play a half-elf? not sure that is possibler;but i was thinking of maybe doing that in the future.

Logistically, a Half Elf is a role play only, your character would be listed as an ELF (if you wear ears) with elven advantages/penalties, or you would look like a Human, with the human bonuses/penalties.
There are no half races except for Half Ogre and Half Orc. You must pick a race, and take it's advantages/disadvantages, and makeup requirements, regardless of lineage.

So, for RP purposes your backstory can be that you are a half-elf, but rules/mechanics -wise you must be one race or the other.

So my father would have assumably had to have been human if i go the human route or elven if I go the elven route. Is that a fair assumption or not.
