The tavern door swings open

and into the tavern steps an elf with ears so long that he had to cut holes in the hat he's wearing. He is carrying a brightly-colored bag on his back. He walks quickly across the tavern to the swirling portal to Clanthia, setting his bag down as he walks up. He sticks one hand through the portal, pulls it out, and inspects it. Satisfied, he closes his eyes and steps through the portal.

After a few seconds, he steps back through the portal, grabs his bag, then steps back through.
