Tips for success in designing a logo:
• Keep it simple: intricate designs are often beautiful, but from a distance can be difficult to understand.
• Keep it flexible: Think about the different places it might appear- on a business card or printed on a canvas bag. Does it make sense in all potential places?
• Make a statement- consider a tag line
• Try to use three or fewer colors: When printing, the cost to reproduce increases with each additional color you use.
• Research any words or symbols you use: some companies have ‘made up’ words to use in advertising only to find it meant something offensive in another language. Google is your friend!
