Just got notified that as of 12-31-10 I am unemployed. Good news is a severance package and unemployment if I stick it out til the end.

Start looking for a new job while you still have this one. DO NOT try to stay on 'til the end. The severance is NOT worth more than a new steady job. I see too many people passing up jobs in this situation because they want the severance. It's easier to get a job when you already have one.
