Hi everyone!

I'm in dire need of losing weight, and I work best with motivation and diet buddies. That being the case, I'm starting a biggest loser contest for Shadowmoor.

Anyone who wants to sign up is welcome, but needs to weigh in either at the work day (Feb 26) or at the event. The person who loses the biggest percentage of their body weight by opening ceremonies at the October event gets the grand prize of a 2012 Season Pass. (If I win, I get the cash!)

We'll be setting up a separate forum and small challenges for everyone that gets involved in the contest, just to keep it interesting.

Corrected it, thanks Mr. Smarty Pants! ;-P

Lose all the weight you want but I can only count you in the contest if we can get a verified measure of weight.

It's by percentage of your weight, not overall weight lost, so you have a better chance, but it'll be fun in any case.

Guys, it's a weight loss contest. It's not a fitness contest, a "who can get the most buff in a year" contest, or anything else. She's measuring WEIGHT LOSS.

It's pretty straightforward. You get weighed in Feb or at the first event. At the last event, you get weighed again. We'll do the math: ( original weight - final weight ) / original weight = percentage of weight lost. Biggest loser wins.

Count me in.  It may be hard fighting chemo weight but in my opinion it sure is worth giving it a try.  We can post hints, good recipes and generally have fun with this and help each other at the same time.

With that said, I have treatments every Thursday until the end of November and Saturdays tend to be my “bad” days.  The tavern will operate as usual.  We have teams of help who have volunteered to work in the tavern.  Anyone else who wants to help, please feel free to do so.  All help is appreciated.  During this time some items normally on the menu may not be available if the persons working do not know how to cook or feels uncomfortable in making said items.  Please be understanding.   We have a good variety of menu items.

I'm game....although I'll probably lose.  I'm at 22% body fat and would love to get back down to the 16% lvl I was at.  I'm trying already so who knows where I'll be at weigh ins, lol.  I'll even try to get Roger going on this.

Chandella dear you may count on my wife who will be playing maybe as early as the march event. She has stated numerous times how she would like to be a tavern helper. So when she arrives I will introduce you two and all you have to do is point her in the direction she needs to go. She is a great help in the kitchen at home.So i cannot imagine she would be otherwise at Shadowmoor. She helps me cook all the time.

Becca.  Cry <--- this is my sad face.

Of all the years for a Shadowmoor biggest loser, this is the year that I obviously cannot participate.

.......unless HAVING a baby constitutes as weight loss...Hmmm... Wink
