The following rules apply for everyone who is posting and using the Shadowmoor forums:
- Posting is a privilege, not a right. These boards are for the promotion of the Shadowmoor live-action game, and for the service of our players. Spam, abuse, and being a general nuisance will result in your posting privileges revoked.
- All accounts must have a valid email address. In fact, you need a valid address to even register to post. There are no exceptions to this rule.
- Use Full Sentences and Proper English! It's hard to read chatspeak. Break your posts up into paragraphs. Your posts will be edited if you don't write like you went to school - and if we have to edit your posts too often, you will be asked to write an essay on the importance of formal communication and the application of common language expectations to regain your posting privileges.
- Treat everyone with respect. There are other people reading this board, many aren't yet players of the Best Game In Existence. Be nice, so that everyone feels welcome.
- Every Post In Its Place. Please try to keep your posts on-topic for the forum it's in, and the thread it's part of. Don't start new threads to continue an existing discussion - that's Bad Juju and will only confuse people. For those of you who remember the old forums, these forums work a little differently, so be open-minded while making the switch.
- Necromancy is illegal: don't reply to really old threads unless you have a good reason to. If a thread is three months old and has some outdated information, updating the thread with new information may be helpful, but it's probably just going to confuse people. Please realize that this is a living, breathing game, and old stuff sometimes needs to stay buried.
