Hi guys!

I hate that I have missed event's due to health, but I have still been thinking about you all. I have a local pizza place very close to where I live that I usually hang around to have company when people can't be home with me. They have made an awesome offer that I wanted to relay to you guys as soon as possible.

The owner of Paventi's Pizza will be giving a discount to Solar Player's after the event, as an after-event Pizza Party. He didn't give me exactly what discount he would be tossing out there, but we didn't talk about it in length yet either. This is the best pizza in the world to me, authentic new york style made with real mozzarella cheese and hand made everything. You really cant beat the place. Its right between I-77, I-85, and I-485, not far from UNCC campus. I will post directions and such as well here soon, but I wanted to get a general census of how many people would be interested in stopping in. Its not more than a few minutes off any interstate in the area, and it would be an awesome after event party. They sell pizza by the slice and have amazing chicken wings. Having eaten here with Remmi this past weekend, I have to agree that the pizza is REALLY good.  Any of you shuffling back up north on I-85 have all of a 5 minute detour to get to this place.

I live nearby and love eating here as well. I'd be interested though what time were you thinking for the event? I carpool pretty aggressively so depending on the time we will likely come as a group or not be able to make it.

I will talk to the guy here shortly. What will likely happen will he will enable the discount from 4:30pm to close the sunday after the event.

I will be posting pics of slice size and such here in a few. I'm actually sitting in the place at the moment, talking to the owners and people who work here. They are great guys here, love em all to death. The slice that I just got, for example, is a meat lovers that cost me $4. With drink and tax, it was $6 even. It is absolutely overflowing with meat and hanging off all sides of the standard paper plate they gave me, so you definitely get your money's worth. Also, if you want something added to your slice, they modify them as well. The gentleman behind me just got the same meat lovers and added some massive mushrooms and extra cheese at no extra cost.

Another thing we will be starting here is every Tuesday evening, 7pm to closing, we will be running a D&D campaign night. I will DM if no one else wants to. We will be getting discounts and special deals then as well. If anyone is interested in playing, contact me here of via email, solar.remmi@gmail.com. We should be starting the D&D next Tuesday, so long as we have at least 4 people other than me to play. No limit on how many can come.

Thanks for the link David. Also, for anyone who thinks they are pro eaters, they have a running pizza eating challenge. They serve you a massive pizza with whatever toppings you want. If you can eat the entire pizza in an hour, by yourself, with no bathroom breaks, you get the pizza free and win the running pot that is currently at $150. If you fail to eat it, you must pay for the pizza (which is around $65).  There are a couple of guys who have done it, but its a challenge and a half. I will be posting a pic of the poster later as well.

Just confirmed with owner, anyone coming and telling them they are with the larp group will get half priced slices. Thats a huge deal if you look at the menu and slice sizes. The owner wanted a ballpark number of people coming, so if you guys think you can make it, lemme know before event so i can let them know how many pizzas they should have on hand.

I totally want to go to this and I don't see any reason why I can't, but I may be having to mooch off of someone for a ride. I live in Monroe, and it's not that far from me, but parents are usually busy, and I don't have my own car yet... Sad And I'll be leaving the event early sunday to get some things done in the morning, then I'll be free round 12. Proper and convenient scheduling is lame in my family, and not a skill we seem to possess... >.>
