I was wondering, there has been a thread on the forums that had links to various
Guild or Group forums that were managed by those groups and I was wondering
if there was anyway we could place a list up of those forums since the old thread
seems to be missing.

I am also curious if we can at least have some form of permanent posting of the
more established guilds, such as the HG forums, so any newbies are aware that
there are other forums that roleplay takes place on.

Now, I also noticed in the old post that it seemed to be a bit of a hesitation about
doing this, I don't know if it is something that is a general concern or if it was just
someone's opinion at the time, but if this is a problem, I'd like to know why. Though
I may answer my own question by pointing this out, but I would figure the most
obvious reasoning would be Management of the other forums by plot, if any at all
was required, or desire to centralize the roleplay on the main forums instead of
other forums.

The reason I'd like the major group forums posted would be because, even though
a lot of roleplay does happen in the tavern or over PMs, it's rather difficult, in my opinion,
to post to someone that may be in the area that you are going to.

But anyways, I am just curious and regardless of the answer and eventual conclusion,
I figured that opening up the 'Tween-Event roleplay a bit more would certainly help
character development, and also encourage a little bit more activity between players.

Sincerely,
Yeshua

The Black and Red (We'll have our official new name soon. I promise.) has a facebook group that represents our building and can be used for RP.

Roleplay happens where it happens. However, we do not and can not control what happens on forums run/moderated by other groups. From time to time, plot and other staff members may post on unofficial forums, but that's done as a courtesy to players.

There are a few rules that apply to off-site (in the sense of when you're not at an actual event) and off site (meaning, not on the official Shadowmoor forums):

  • If you overhear any IP information, then you may take that IP with your character. (So be careful what you say in a public forum)
  • Things that happen in-play on the official forums take priority over unofficial forums.
  • Things that happen in-play on site (at an event) take priority over official forums

Since we don't moderate unofficial forums, as a management policy, we don't officially link to them, so there's no confusion that it's an official, endorsed thing. Feel free to post links, but they won't be stickied or linked to from any permanent page on the website.

Also, be aware that a lot of people act VERY differently online than they do in person. Many, many times people have gotten their PCs into trouble by doing or saying things they never would on site. Refer to the first rule listed above for how to handle things like that.

Just FYI to those moderating the armory site, the join button isn't working for me. I'll check again tomorrow. ^^

EDIT:: Problem resolved.
