This came up last gather, so I wanted to clarify for the confused folks:
Proscribe is not formal, it is in the earth spell column.

Also, If anyone has found a 4 inch long by 1/4 inch wide flat piece of silver metal with a loop on one end, its the pin to one of my bracelets. I'd love to get it back if anyone has it. And we're still missing a sheet of cold pack Techni-Ice. Thanks.

Proscribe is a ninth level earth spell.

It still does follow fairly strict rules for the casting of the spell. Much like a Formal Magic ritual, the caster has to sit in uninterrupted concentration for five minutes in the area to be Proscribed before casting the spell. Important to note, though, is that if the concentration is broken, the spell is not lost - the spell is only lost if the casting is disrupted while speaking the verbal.

There an actual formal ritual that proscribes a building from certain things but anymore than that is FOIP.

I was clarifying the use of Proscribe Creature, 9th level spell. There is some confusion over its use last game.

That the one that was cast was not formal, and indeed is battle magic.
