With a clattering of hooves and a cloud of dust...

...a wagon approaches the town, stopping just outside of the tavern. Silver hops out, adjusting his (now trademarked, apparently) hat, and turns and waves to the driver before turning on his heel and walking up the steps into the building.

The rogue walks briskly through the aisle and first goes to scan the missives, then pops into the kitchen for a few moments. He comes back a minute or so later and finds a table, taking his hat off and setting it down and taking a seat. He exhales heavily, gives the room a onceover, his eyes then staring out the window.

With a steaming mug in her hands, and a smile on her face, Cassette approaches, and pulls out a bench, sitting sideways on it, one leg in out out.
"Fancy meeting you here, stranger! Care for a sip of cocoa?"

He smiles at the young healer. "Likewise, friend." He nods, taking her mug and taking a sip. "I just arrived back in town after a bit of adventure. My goal was to be here by gather..." He laughs, taking another look around. "Looks like I made good time. What brings you 'round here?"

She smiles, taking her mug back and taking a larger sip from it, looking down inside of the mug to notice it's less than halfway full.

"I just got back from a trip myself, and now I'm heading out on another one," she laughs, setting her mug down. "Going back home to check on my family. I should be back before gather, most definitely." She set the mug down, and tugged on her sleeves a bit, before running her hands through her hair out of habit, and then clasping them together in her lap, looking up at the young man with a small smile on her face.

"If you would like to accompany me, you're more than welcome."

"Heh.." He turns and looks out the window at the mention of family, sighing softly. "Well, I've got nothing else to do. I suppose I could come if you'd like." He looks around the room again before turning his attention back to her. "It wouldn't be weird, bringing a stranger along, would it?"

She watches his expression, gently touching his arm and squeezing it, smiling softly after he spoke.

"No, it wouldn't." She shook her head. "My family loves company, stories and travelers. Besides, any friend of mine is wonderful in their book. I never bring much back from Shadowmoor, except maybe a shiny rock here, or a funny story there. But this time around, I'll have you, and Luc will be coming as well." She paused, and pushed some of her hair behind her ear, out of her eyes.

"He swears I can't walk five feet without someone to protect me. Honestly..." she sighed, and laughed a bit. "He should give me more credit. After all, I've been here for almost two years."

He glances at her as she touches his arm, a small smile creeping upon his lips.

"Sounds like an adventure," he says softly. "It's an honor to be invited, thank you. Though, I fear I might not be very good company."

He laughs a bit, "Luce is just protective over you, like a lot of people around here, including myself. That being said, I know you can take care of yourself."

He thinks a moment, "I won't be interrupting anything between he and you, will I?"

She looks confused, her smile disappearing, as her face goes blank, before you see her thinking, confused, thinking again, and then, her cheeks flare up pink. "Oh..oh! No, no.. it's not like that!" She shook her head, and waved her hands at him.

"No, no, no, nothing like that. We're... just friends." She paused, looking at Silver, then down at the table, her eyebrows knit together a moment. "That was odd," she said to herself. "Never thought of it like that..."

She cleared her throat, and looked up, smiling again. "Well, anyway, it's no trouble at all! I would be honored if you accompanied me! But if we're leaving, we have to leave now." She stood, tipping her head back to down the rest of the cocoa, and then set the mug back down. "This way!" She motioned for him to follow, and hurried back the way she came, out the back door of the tavern, treading lightly down the steps outside.

"Yes, ma'am." He stands and adjusts his clothing, scooping up his hat and placing it upon his head. He takes a deep breath and exhales before stepping off after the young healer.
