Kin/Trench

« on: October 23, 2011, 09:37:50 pm »

Might as well get this started before I forget too much.

1.  "All their clothes disappear."  Woohoo!  "Sorry, I meant their bodies disappear, their clothes remain."  Awwww....
2.  My character's first words on hearing Lady Pink died.  "Oh crap.  NOW who's going to be the guild leader?"
3.  Vun catching Imbue Deaths.
4.  Cass looking awesome.  (Yes Cass, you really did)
5.  Someone borrowing my knives and actually using them as throwing knives (instead of most people using them as waylay widgets).
6.  Me and that other person knifing a monster to death.
7.  The wall of "no effect" and "snap" we had against the spiders.
8.  The look I got when I said I needed 40 points of armor.
9.  Half a dozen people around, and only Armageddon had a magic weapon to hurt the dis-corporeal creatures.
10.  Going on a Mod with Armageddon.
11.  For once being told I didn't have enough knives.

6.  Me and that other person knifing a monster to death.

Hehehe. "Repel Undead.... Umm.... Is someone gonna kill these things?" And the two throwing knifers show up and pepper them with knives.

I just want to thank everyone who made this event amazing! The roleplay was intense, and there were tears. You guys are awesome <3

~Angry Pink = black clothing. Pretty darn scary.
~"You may have to rub a dead animal on it."
~Giving cookies to a dragon.
~Morgos' Inquisitor hat
~Jade's boat
~Saying goodbye to various individuals. <3
~"What the heck is the Resevoir of the Star King?" "I dunno, his toilet?"
~"Hey, Orianna, look at this!"
~Levi
~The vignette in the HG. Brings me to tears every time.
~The Hermit Chicken Fund
~Playing Shank the Goblin Duchess.
~Playing Spider. Rawr.
~And finally Epic Death was Epic.

There are so many more, but my poor brain can't think of them right now. I'm still in that post-Shadowmoor zombie state.

Lesseeeee:

About everywhere i turned, the first thing people asked me was "didn't you used to have a Mohawk?"

being associated with the legendary new character -"walrus" word of bucket travels quickly.

signing into monster town at 1015 pm for the field battle which was supposed to happen by 11 at the latest and finally getting to swing on PC's at 215 am.

The physical web catching contest on Sunday

Going "here Kitty Kitty" to the lion cub and morgos "what?! No cats!"

"Are you korr?" "Yeah, why?" "Because you don't have a Mohawk and you're wearing clothes..""did you notice it was cold outside...?"

How on earth do these gathers keep getting better and better? I love it.

- Sharing Grove's fireplace. Yay!
- Getting asked why I had green scratches on my face.
- Trick - or - treat'ing and hearing comments about valar, walrus, and moriar's outfits. "That's the best looking chick I've ever seen."
- Losing my voice from all the verbals.
- The newbie mod / kill the lich we freed.

I've said this to as many as I could, but for those I didn't reach:
Plot, thank you. You guys are awesome and I had a lot of fun. Again.
Boat monsters, Lich mod monsters, and spider swarm monsters, you all rock. Thank you.
And -everyone- in general: you make it fun to an addictive degree.

Too much fuzz in the brain but a couple of quick ones:

- (smashing massive into Sir Ash) "WHY can't I kill you!!! Die HUMAN!"
-"I feel filthy. I'm covered in undead. Hey! Want to lick me clean?" (20 ft repel radius to everyone except my husband)
- Having a conversation with Bear that should have happened a looooong time ago
- Totally breaking down in the middle of town and having people so concerned they had to check oop
- and finally, the epicness that was all the hard work everyone put into the final battle.

Awesome thanks for all the hard work everyone did, in and out of game.  Cheesy

Ok so I don't ususally post here but I have a few things I just have to brag on this event.

Ragging Deacon until he sent out a contruct just for me and then kiting the contruct through town battle lines for like ten minutes until it finally drops and running back to Deacon and yelling miss me, miss me!!!

Getting told I should be Moriar's battle buddy. What little old me??!!

People joking that the faerie is good on her knees after the water zombie field battle.

OMG it is 2pm sunday and there is still bacon?!?!?! Give me all your bacon!!!!

My people from the Grove rocking it hard core to the max at every battle. Jeez we threw down this event.

Playing my first biIig monster with stuff my character would never do. OMG so much fun to get to try new things.

Stop monster on monster crime... for the mosters who got rolled up into that that was sooooo funny. Thanks for monstering the right way and just avoiding us.

To Seamus "I waited for you, about that thing." Seamus, "oh here is the tag". Me, evil smile "No Effect" giggle.

For plot this gather and the amazing amount of work you put into it, great job it was amazing and fun as heck. Looking for to the mahem next season.

"Oh snap!"

Tears.

Don't remember me on the front lines, Moss? Guess I'm doing my job right. Wink

Dissertations on the Armory porch.

Being the only person to think of saving the little girl FIRST.

Jumping spiders! Jumping rogues!

"That's scary."

The boat was one of the most immersive experiences I've had in a LARP. It really made me feel that I was going somewhere else - there were a couple of points I could almost feel the waves. Top marks on that soundtrack, guys.

Redarms in the HG blew me away.

Too much to go on about, guys. I can't wait for March.

My favorite thing was the field battle as a skeleton.

PCs calling 10 or higher damage. "Parry" coming from the Skele. And the PCs giving me a confused look. Lol.

1) The Casey/Josh Jeremy Amplification Team!  "Abandoned ruins...everybody dead...for a long time...we're all ****ed"!"
2) Roaring Friday night.  Great RP and fun, thanks to plot and monsters for keeping us busy!
3) Getting to show you guys Jade's boat.  I'm very flattered that you all enjoyed my physrepping.  Even though we had to sit in that hot Tavern FOREVER.   Tongue
4) Orianna's last will and testament.  I cried a little.
5) Combat marshaling the final field battle.  I may have been too tired to play, but it looked awesome!

Thanks for great event guys. you guys really made it fun to monster. I learned so much about the game just from running into battle and getting gacked alot. It was truly fun to just let loose and not worry about anything but making it fun for those around me. I regret not being able to make it the whole event; but those regrets pale in comparison to the fun i had and to the time i got to spend once home. With the most awesome woman i have ever known. It is good to have so much family in and out of the game. That truly cares about me as a person. I am looking so forward to march and to seeing what our 2012 plotting and scheming team has lined up for us:) Everyone have a good break and see ya in the spring.
