Luc enters the tavern...

looking extremely weary. He's wearing his trademark leather and fox jacket, with his weapons tucked into his belt. He nods to those around him, and sits at his own table. He pulls from his bag a square piece of white cloth, a bag of red berries, and a dusty wine bottle. He begins dyeing the cloth with the berries, taking a sip from his bottle and eating a berry or two every now and again.

Cassette grumbles under her breath as she approaches, jingling a bit as she propped her leg up on one of the benches, and balanced her older looking pouch on her hip. She leaned down to adjust her boots, before she lowered her leg back down, smoothing her dress and sitting down beside Luc, diagonal to him. "The damned earth hasn't stopped shaking since we fought all those spiders, it seems..."
She shivered a bit, laying her weapons on the table as she made herself comfortable. "What do we have here?" She motioned to the cloth and berries, glancing around the tavern, and once or twice at Jade, in case she was going to continue the conversation.

After picking himself off of the floor, and glaring at all the spilled berries and (worse) wasted drink, Luc tosses his cloth at Cassette.
"I was making a pink belt favor to wear in favor of Orianna, but now I need to find new berries. Mayhaps the birds will like these..."
He shrugs as he collects the spilled fruit and places them in a belt pouch. "Do you want to run to guild and check our wards, or so should I? One of us may want to, if we're gonna take advantage of the Captain's offer."

She nods, catching the cloth in a shaky hand, her face a bit somber. "I'll do it." She places the cloth gingerly down on the table, sliding it across to him, before she picked her weapons up, putting them in her belt once more. "I don't know why I didn't think to check them before. I was going to come in here to see if everyone was okay, but I didn't know it knocked out wards."
She shook her head, steadying herself against the table as she stood, "Such a fool... how could I be so stupid?" She swipes the back of her hand across her mouth, looking down at the blood with disdain as she licks her lip and takes off, out the tavern through the same doors in which she came. She takes off at a run in the direction of the Healer's Guild.

As she walked, she reached into her usual pouch, her head down as she shuffled through papers and writing utensils and sat down beside him again. This time, however, she sat directly next to him, or at least where he had been sitting before, and pulled out a small note, reading it over with a concerned look on her face. She sat quietly, losing herself in the note while sliding another piece of paper out of her bag, and scrawling on it, resting her elbow on the table and her hand on her face in thought.

Seeing Cassandra enter the tavern Vend walks over and joins her table sitting across from her and Luc. Nodding at the slip of paper in her hand he tilts his head the side before asking " hey whats up with the paper?"

She looks up, her eyes a bit wide, taken off guard. She gulped quietly, and looked from Vend to Morgan, opening her mouth to answer one, then pausing, to try to answer the other, before she cleared her throat, closed her eyes a moment, and started over.
"The note? Not terribly important. Let's just say, I'm going on a trip. I'll be gone for... a while." She glanced at Vend, her eyes barely registering the fear, but it was there if you looked long enough.
She looked back at Morgan, smiling weakly. "It's alright Morgan, I think we'll certainly be seeing more-" she stopped, and blinked, opening her eyes, before she suddenly got up, note in hand, walking to wall.
She scanned the note written in pink, staring at the sheet until her eyes widened considerably, and she walked back over to the table. She looked as if she had an idea, as she pulled out her leather book. She set her weapons down, pulling them from her belt, then dug through her usual pouch for a writing utensil. She pulled it out, and set her note (the one she had been staring at prior) down on the table, unfolding it and setting it under her sword so it wouldn't blow away, but it was still in clear view. She glanced at it, before walking to the wall, and jotting down the writing in pink in her own journal.
She turned a page, finishing the entry before walking back over to the table, and staring down at the book, then glancing at the note, and looking out the window over her shoulder. She gasped softly, lost in her own thoughts as she mumbled, "But.. it couldn't... well if course it would be. His army would clearly be coming after such a.. I mean.." She shook her head a few times, before looking up from the book, a thoughtful expression on her face.
"Vend, when's the last time you saw Sir Ryan? And Morgan, do you happen to know where everyone went who was talking to the lizard people? Or who was talking to them? I think I have some errands to run before I leave."
(PM me if you read/attempted to read the note, either of you. It's still in plain sight)

Morgan took the moment while Cassette was turned around to glance at her note. His eyebrow peaks a little bit but he says nothing. Upon Cassette asking him about who spoke with the Lizardwoman; he replied "Guildmistress Ravynn said somethin' about gettin' 'er boat ready. Sir Ash said somethin' about goin' ter look fer a device ta detroy tha Star King. Sir Alexan'er popped in with a few barbarian lookin' guys and spoke at len'th about a coalition. He said he'd be back by next gather. I saw Lady Tari walkin' toward tha' Healers Guild an' I dunno abou' Sir Davkil."
He sighs for a moment.
"Cassette, I dinnae thin' ye oughta be leavin'. With you gone, Sir Karn off a'his keep, an' Guildmistress Ravynn doin' wha'e'r on 'er boat... Who's gonna be in charge o'er our guild? Wha' happens if we need ya?"

Cassette ran a hand through her hair, looking at Morgan with sad, serious eyes, lines of worry seemed present around them, as she smiled wryly. "Morgan, I... I have
no
choice. This is something I have to do, because if I don't, I don't know what the consequences will be. I wish it was for less time, but I have to do this. Not only that but... I have to go find Tari, Emerald, possibly Sir Ryan, Meemar or maybe Davkil. I have to find someone of our guild before Tuesday, because that's when I'm leaving." She glanced at Luc. "Someone with greater ward control, sorry honey."
She exhaled shakily, and closed her eyes. "This is a horrible time to leave, but it's not my choice. If I leave, and Sir Karn's gone, and Ravyn, then who is to run the guild? I would alert Alphonse but I doubt I'll have time to, nor will he be alive long if he steps foot into town...that and the fact that he still has no ward control." She opened her eyes, tugging at her hair a bit, with her fingers running through it. "Goodness.... Morgan, I need help. There's no way I can do this all at once. Vend, I may need help from you too. Can one of you or both-doesn't matter- go run down to the Armory and see if anyone's there? Meemar would be helpful in this situation. Tell them I need them on the double, pretty please. Before Tuesday. I'll either head that way after I go speak some people, or I'll just go straight there and meet you there. Or I'll be here. I need to-"
She stopped, blinking, and suddenly looking at each door in the tavern, reaching for her weapons. "I need to find Ravyn, and hope she hasn't left yet for Docksides." She paused, looking at the three men.
"Unless someone has a better idea?"

Nodding as he reads the letter Vend nods his head in understanding and says "Yeah i saw Sir Ryan when he had Sir Ryan pop the wards that were put on our building after the earthquake by who knows what. He rode off with a bunch of the Coalition guys. If you want i can ride up to the armory and send a message to him. Then i could run down to the Orphanage to get Alphonse."

Cassette shook her head at Vend. "Alphonse is of no use to us right now, as far as access to the guild building, and running it in the absence of a guild first and second. It's not safe for him here, and I'd rather not have to deal with that drama until he can be present at a gather. But if you could send Sir Ryan a message please, Vendaris that would be great, thank you. I just want him to know that the Healer's Guild will be consisting of Luc, Morgan, Tari, and Davkil until Sir Karn gets back, or Ravyn or I. As far as official members goes, that's everyone. And Silver, technically, as well."
She sighed, and looked down at the table, studying the patterns in the wood. "Also, notify him that I'll be leaving Tuesday, for docksides, and..." She turns the note towards him, her expression weary but calm, "...I'll be away at sea for three months..." She nodded to the piece of paper, closing her eyes. "You can read this for more information if you wish. But, I had a feeling you both looked at it when I was over at the wall anyway. Times are rough, and if Ravyn's already at the docks, I don't have enough time to ask her to command Zeke and DeSala to give at least one person greater ward control...I wish I would have known..." She shook her head.

Luc continues to collect spilled berries, making sure he hasn't missed any before he stands and stretches. He's made little reaction to any of the conversation going on around him. After packing his gear and strapping his weapons to his belt, he turns to his companions.
"Well, Cassette. if you need to get down to the docks and meet the Guildmistress for your trip, you may want to get a move on. May I walk you down there, or would you rather go it alone?"

She blinks, her face confused, but otherwise blank. "Who said anything about the Guildmistress? Did you-?" She felt her face flush a bit, before she cleared her throat, and looked down, sighing quietly.
"I didn't know how secret or special or... dare I say important my being on the boat will be... so I didn't want to say anything. But I'll be with the Guildmistress on a boat for three months. I'll be fine, barring any unforeseen circumstances." She coughed weakly into her shoulder before knocking three times on the ancient wooden table. "But Luc, if you accompany me..." She paused. "I'll explain later. First, errands. Vend, you sent note to Sir Ryan. Luc, come with me, to find Emerald, please. I need to let her know what's going on."
