The morning after the Dream... ((Attn Luc, Wulf, and Zared))

... Morgan walks into the tavern quite early. After dissapearing into the kitchen for a minute or two, he returns with a steaming tankard of black coffee. He plops a seat at one of the nearby tables and begins to drink down the stimulant. He appears disheveled and sleepless although he manages to get through a couple normal spellcasting rituals before going back for a second cup of coffee. As he drinks down the second cup he pulls out a piece of parchment and a pen and begins scrawling down some notes

The Ranger comes in a few minutes behind Morgan, looking equally disheveled. He enters the kitchen and comes out not only with coffee, but with a steaming bowl. He sits across from the Dwarf, and methodically makes his way through the food.

"All right, Morgan...drunken hallucination, or did that really happen?"

Morgan looks up from his note and to his comrade. "Ye as well huh Luc? Tha' hell did we eat las' nigh'? It was li'e tha' time tha' pixies spiked our ale..." He grins in rememberence for a second before scratching his beard and his face taking a very serious turn. "Somethin' tells me tha' it was a warnin'. I've been writin' down all me thoughts on tha' ma''er s' I dinnae ferget." He slides his parchement over to the Sylvan Fae.

The Ranger scans the parchment, circles the bottom line with a pen of his own and slides the parchment back. before finishing his meal.

"Yeah, I was kinda thinking along the same lines. May be time to get that ball rolling again. I wonder if Z's vineyard is still around. If so, that's where we'll find him. And maybe some of the old crowd..."

He scans the tavern, and his gaze lingers on Davkil for a second or three before finishing his sweep.

Morgan gets a confused look on his face "Wha'd'ye mean old crowd? Were ye a par' o'it back befer ya left? All I know abou' it was Zared refered ter 'em as... Well Allies. I was gonna ask 'im where they were an' see if 'e coul' bring 'em here ter help out. We oughta sit down with 'im an' talk abou' it. Somethin' tells me we're gonna need as many frien'lys in town befer next gather."


Morgan slips the note back into his pouch and gulps down what was left of his coffee.

Luc nods absently. "Yeah, Morgan, I was one of the original Defenders. There were quite a number of us back then. Of course, I only know of one or two of the old group that are still running around, and most of them have moved on."

The MWE finishes his meal, stretches out, and pulls his own notebook out of his traveling cloak.

"I wasn't much more than a grunt the last time, whereas Zared was pretty high up there. It's more his bailiwick to explain then mine."

He orders another cup of coffee, and begins his own series of writings, every now and again twitching his off hand and muttering under his breath.

Morgan nods and sighs "Damn... I was hopin' tha' it'd be more then tha'... Maybe Zared knows where tha' rest'o them are. Oughta try an' ge' as many ter help as out as we can. Or hell, ye an' I seem ter be attractin more'n more adveturers ter ha'e our backs with each gather. Maybe Zared'd be willin' ter fold us newcomers inter his old unit. Who knows, might be nice ter ha'e a name fer ourselves instead o'jus' Luc'n Morgan"

Morgan chuckles before as well ordering another drink, this one spiked with a bit of whiskey.

"I think it'd be odd to more than Luc and Morgan, after so many years of watching the other's back. Not that I'd mind, personally."

Morgan chuckles

"Aye bu' wouldn' it be funny as hell ter give some new adventerers our stories? Especially tha' time with tha' Harpies..."

He knocks back another swig from his drink.

"It would be interestin' ter actually ge' us a name, an' start workin' up a reputation aroun' 'ere... I'll talk ter Zared an' see wha' he says."

The rogue had been sitting quietly at a table on the opposite side of the tavern in his usual solitary daze, motionless aside from his usual sweep of the room. He sighs and rubs his eyes; he'd bee playing the vision over and over in head since he awoke, trying to muster some kind of understanding.

His attention piqued as his two friends had entered but he hadn't acted yet to grab any attention. As the two begin to converse, he catches bits and pieces of speech and listens more attentively. Having finally heard enough, he stands and approaches the two.

"Apologies for eavesdropping, boys, but I must admit you caught my interest. Whatever you're planning, if you need bodies, you can count mine in."

Morgan raises his eyebrow and grins "Silver, Ye're on tha' top'o my list as soon as I ge' in touch with Zared. If it was his group then it be his right ter start it up again if he wishes. If no'... Maybe ye, me, an' Luc'll figure out our own name fer somethin'. I'll keep ye in tha' loop alrigh'?"

"Sounds good to me, my friend." He returns the grin, a glint in his eye. He turns to walk to the kitchen and notices the notes the two had been writing.

"May I?" He says, gesturing to the paper.

Morgan shrugs "Jus' tha' ramblin's on of an insane Dwarf bu' if ye wish... Then by all means g'ahead"

Morgan hands the paper to Jordan

"As far as the DoL goes, it's entirely Z's call when it comes to membership. I won't step on any of his toes in that arena, but I'd be surprised if his recruiting was that restrictive. It wasn't last time around, and we can always use men of skill.

The Ranger hops up with his mug in hand after stowing his notebook back in his cloak. "I need another cup of coffee. Either of you boys need anything?"

He scans over the paper, a smirk gracing his lips at the bottom line.

"Interesting. This should be fun."

He turns to the Ranger. "Like I said, and you can extend the message to him, if you need bodies, mine is willing and able." He pauses as the man stands. "I'll drink anything you wish to bring me."
