If only my birthday was two days later...it'd be during the July event.

I think a four day event would be awesome. and the August event should be held on August 14th because that's my birthday.  Wink That is if it falls on a weekend. Undecided

I would love to see more 4-day events, but that's just me personally.

As many of you may or may not know, Dan and I can no longer attend events together due to our eldest causing problems for us at home.  Therefore, Dan will be attending SOLAR and I will be attending TALAN so that we can both have our LARP fixes.

However, the proposed weekend of your All Hallows Event is already scheduled for TALAN that same weekend, and has been for a few months now.  Is there anyway to perhaps see if you can get a different weekend so that Dan and I can both attend our All Hallows.  I know I am asking a lot but I figured the worst that could be said is no and Dan and I have to fight it out Tongue

Thanks for thinking about it.

I was oldest in my family. I can say that teens are fairly self-sufficient. Not that you should do it, but it's a possibility. lol

Unfortunately you don't know the history with our daughter.  She'll be 17 at that point and I still can't trust her to be home alone Sad

I know the feeling. My younger brother was about that age, and it was really rare my parents let him stay home alone or to watch kids. Though I imagine they don't have much choice now that I had to move out two years ago. I hope it works out for you both. ^_^

With rope, chain, some wire and a couple car batteries you can make sure your child never leaves the bathroom.  And if they can get out, they deserve their freedom.  After the beating for escaping of course.  Just remember to leave a large bowl of food on the bathroom counter and to lift the lid on the toilet and your daughter should be fine.

If you need me to come down one weekend to straighten her out, I'll be more than happy to do so but you must sign a waiver and feed me.  By the time I'm done with her she'll be more obedient than a government brown noser talking to the President in the Lincoln bedroom.

Seriously though, I think you guys had briefly touched on  the issues with your daughter with me before and I wish you the best of luck.  In my family, if you couldn't garner respect you instilled fear or complete seclusion.  Hopefully, you guys won't have to resort to the latter options and I'll get to see you both at Shadowmoor in the Spring.

April 2-4 Camp York

According to my GoogleCalendar, this is Easter weekend.  Is this date correct?  I know that I won't be able to attend if it is.
