Sense Life clarification

Just for clarification, is the undead ability Sense Life Force passive or active? Or, rather, is it always on, or do they need to actively state that they are sensing life force?

It is always active. Don't play dead around undead because it's really cheesy.

As an addendum - if you choose to play dead, you MUST lie down on the ground and cannot take a knee.

Now, I am a big fan of playing dead with the more normal monsters coming through, I didn't play dead at all this event...mainly cause of the undead.
Now if we have to actually lay down, wouldn't that tip off your playing dead to the monsters?

Not necessarily. Some people DO lay down completely when dropped, and all of us do it at least occasionally.

I take a death or bleeding out as a chance to stretch out and rest a bit. Nothing like a mid battle break to keep you going.

I only dislike doing the full death pose when it means I'm going to get kicked in the face. Which means, most of the time. Therefore I rarely play dead.
