Interested in Joining, From Charlotte

I am interested in joining the group but don't really know much about it as I've never done anything like this.  I was wondering if anyone was from Charlotte and was interested in chatting with me about it.  Please let me know.

I'm not in the Charlotte area, but I'd be more than happy to chat with you about the game.  Feel free to send me private messages through the forum or if you'd like to talk over the phone, that is an option.  I would suggest reading chapters 1, 4, 3, and 5 from the rulebook (located at http://www.shadowmoor.org/downloads/SOLAR_PHB_2008v1_5.pdf) in that order to get an idea of how complex some of the rules are as well as familiarize yourself with some of the terminology.  There is also a rules supplement (http://www.shadowmoor.org/downloads/Shadowmoor2009RulesSupplement.pdf) that I would suggest having on hand while you read over the rules for quick reference purposes.

Just so you know, I live in Virginia Beach and make the 6.5-8 hour journey to attend with a handful of other guys that live in my area.  We love playing this game and having new players, which we recently got an abundance of (you're not the only new person playing).  I do hope to see you at the November event, if not then hopefully in the spring.

hi im in the charlotte area and id love to answer any questions about the game...message me on here or feel free to call me 704 907 7506.. fyi im in the university are and the drive is like 45 minutes to an hour...if ur in south charlotte its no more than an hour and i half i think.

Just an FYI, Miss Nancy is thinking about having a "fighter" practice at her house in West Charlotte during the winter break.  It would be meant to help the new(er) folks with rules, costuming, fighting and spell casting.   All that good stuff!

We don't have a schedule yet but we were thinking at least once a month.   What do you all think?

It would be open to everyone, newbies as well as seasoned players...  we will need the seasoned players too!!
