Does anyone play D&D online using tabletop programs such as http://rpgtonight.com/  or Gametable  http://gametable.galactanet.com/
If so, do you have a spot for a new player? I'm really interested in play, but the closest group is over 1 hour away.

I never relay liked the idea of online D&D I am in the same position as you 1 hour dive for a few hours of play is no fun. I tried running my own game but I suck as a DM. So if there is one Could you let me in too? and if there isn't why don't we start one.

I have looked at the sites listed.  The RPGtonite one looks rather good and honestly I have been wanting to get back into pen and paper, but most of my friends are busy with kids and such and we barely get time to do an all nighter game beating.

So I was thinking, I don't have the rulebooks of 4.0 and 4.5, though I am very familar with the early rule set and am very familar with armor/weapons and such.  Spells not so much since I barely played casters save for paladins.  I usually DMed in Ravenloft and Krynn campaigns, also dungeon hackings.   I would be interested in building an adventure or dugeon if we can get at least 5 people interested in meeting online, 4 players and the dm and we could hack out a dungeon or run a campaign.

Once enough of us gets together or shows interest we can hash out the details of time and what game one wants to use and rule sets.   RPGTonite has a great system and I have fooled around with it for the past week and am impressed.   It offers a chat channel, as well as maps and such so it is pretty much like the pen and paper, even up to the die, which can be modfied to pretty much anything you want.  If interested just PM me and when we get enough we can start to hash out details and get registered and such.

I am rather more interested in a Pathfinder game, myself, I haven't been impressed with the 4th Edition material.

I have been out of the pen and paper version for a while.....I played the old 2.5, 3.0 rules and am used to them.

Since RPGtonight has alot of versitility, I have been playing with it already, those that are interested, we can decide on exactly what rules and campaigns we can play.   I am already playing with making dungeons and such, so if you want to, register and send a PM to me.  We have 2 confirmed, including myself, and have 2 maybes, so we just need 1 more to have a full group.  Time/Date can be decided once we get together.

Greetings everyone.   Since I have the time and spare energy, I am starting out as the dm for a tabletop online game.

It has been decided we will use 3.5 rules, since I have the most information and tools for this ruleset.
Character creation has been finalized as well.

Since we are building characters now, and then setting a time, then we can play.

If anyone else wants to play, it will be set in Ravenloft.   You can pick any class or race in the 3.5 rulebook.  We will not be using multiclass, but later on, we will allow prestige and epic classes.

If you want in, send me a message and I will send you the information to start your character up.  Please give a time.  Right now, we are looking at doing a game after 8pm, any day is open.

Actually a part of inquiring and wanting to join the game, I have found a website that allows downloads in pdf format and have sent it out.  It is the full documentation for the 3.5 ruleset.  We wont be doing multiclass to start with, since I personally don't like to keep up with them, but I am open to prestige and epic later on as you develop and play your character.  I may even make exceptions and allow multiclassing, just depends on the player and such.

This is actually on the wizards website so feel free to download the pdfs and such.  If interested I also will send out character builder stuff as well that is online and free.  No downloads or anything and they make character sheet creation a breeze.

Ok, we have enough players now, so I am opening up the room for the next few nights at 7pm.   If enough show up, we will begin, if not, it will be a meet and greet, we get your character made, if not done, and you will learn how to use the rpgtonight system.

No downloads are required.  Player tokens(Figures) are on the site as well for you to use.
