Part 5

.Bright light reaching high in the sky,
Such heat and warmth fills the air.
But I sit and I stare frozen in terror.
My father he doesn’t seem to care.
Trapped he lays there passed out on the floor.

(Come with me you don’t need to see this.)

He was the nightmare in my dreams.
Never did I think they would come to and end.
I wished to never see him ever again.
I wish I knew what this all means.
I need your help more than ever.

(Where are you going to go now?)

I don’t know what I am going to do.
His life was all I had known.
I don’t have anywhere left to go.
Take me; I want to be with you.
There is nothing left for me here.

(Let me take you to your new home.)

He was still warm to the touch.
He never said anything to anyone!
Now he lies dead from his own gun.
Why does he like to hurt me so much?
I don’t think the nightmare will ever end.

(This one has been burnt down.)

part 6

Let’s go for a ride,
(Let’s go for a trip,)
Take a journey far and wide.
(Escape our troubles for a bit.)

Spiraling down and down,
(Seems I lost my grip.)
Why is the world going around?
(I think I’ll try another hit)

I seem to escape my body.
(Leave behind all you fear.)
Show me where’s the folly?
(You can’t stay alone here.)

Everything seemed so perfect.
(Sooner or later you will learn.)
How could I become such a reject?
(Look and watch you soul burn.)

I don’t want to leave this place; it makes me feel so very safe.
Don’t you see dear, I am so very happy in here!
(Please come to your senses, let down your defenses.
I am watching you lay down and die, you think I would lie?)
Just go away and leave me be, I want to lay here and get free.

You’re the one, who is bringing me down,
I feel like you are going to make me drown.
(You are consumed by your own demon;
I thought I could give you freedom.)

Just go away and leave me be,
I don’t need you anymore to set me free.
You’ve taken far too much away from me,
I didn’t need you after all.
It seems you only need me.

(You ungrateful little man!
You haven’t seen the last of me,
You haven’t broken free!
I will be back you’ll see...)

She must have just gotten home, I need to call her.

*Sound of a phone ringing*

Yea it’s me...
Look I need you to come here right away.
I’m... well... I’ve got a problem and I need your help.
Thank you. I’ll see you here soon.
I love you... so very much.

Part 7 and on went missing in the great computer crash of 09.

Finally this is a random poem I wrote who its about I will never say!

I remember your eyes,
they were always changed,
vibrant, colorful, unpredicatable
Just as we once were.

But now,
I am losing you.
We used to be so close,
but now I don't even know your name.
I don't want this to happen,
yet I feel I need this.

I still can hear your voice.
So cheery, vibrant and full of life.
I can hear the fear and feel your pain.
You would talk to me while I fell asleep,
rambling on and on about your day.
It soothed my mind and eased my soul.

But its all slipping away.
The years we had together are now a memory.
Slowing fading away piece by piece.
Your being torn from me,
Like a picture ripped to shreds.
It pains me to think it will all be lost,
but I smile when I think about what was.

Your touch I still feel.
Everyday till I die.
You helped change me.
You pushed me forward,
and helped me stand.
I will never forget you,
you helped make me who I am.

I really like parts 3 and 4 and that last poem is very sweet <3 I wish I knew who it was about! it would be an interesting story, I think. Here; I'll try and imrpov something, because I don't have the patience to write it down and then type it out. (My computer time is sort of limited today...)

The fleeting fear of yesterday
Nearly gone, nearly dissipated
It flew back in on a storm cloud
Followed by all it's friends
Doubt and sickness
Sickness swallowing me slowly
Not a normal sickness, I don't wager
Something foreign to me
To feel this much hurt
Why does everything seem so far away from me?
I smile and laugh
I feel broken
As they all pass by, hugging and joyous
living in a way I don't think I am
Living with their own hopes and dreams
nothing as scary as losing your love
Nothing as heart-stopping as hearing the worst
You may never see him again
You may never hold him again
Never touch, never love
Never feel, never hug
Never to see those eyes gazing lovingly into yours

Secrets, secrets
I have mine still
So special, so treasured
My motivation, disappearing
At the thought of hearing "goodbye"
We have to keep up the facades
The not-so-thought-out scenes
Friendships can be seen through
Can fall apart
Or fall over
Revealing something
Behind the curtain, the hidden actors
And their hidden roles
I'm losing my edge, I'm losing my skill
I don't know how much longer I can...
How much longer must I try
I was never a good actor after all
But I'll try to hold on, I'm trying to see
I'm hoping I won't have to live
A life without "you and me"
Because all that's left of the brilliant yesterdays
The warm embraces and the intimacies
All that's left is worried whispers
And Painful absences
Waiting for the phone to ring
Waiting for the voice on the other end
Hoping you're not hurting
I need to be in your arms
But I'll just keep hoping
And I'll keep up with our secret
Let's hope I don't stumble
And pull the curtain back again

But yes, I won't say who this is about ^_^ sorry

I refuse to let this thread die, so heres something I just came up with!

Something in my heart,
tells me its true,
I want to believe the lie,
I don't know why.
Its nothing more than momentary bliss,
Just unfiltered ingnorance
Refined delusion, boiled down to a chemical mixture
There is no solution, not matter what you think sure,
something in my mind,
tells me its a lie,
I want to believe the truth,
but im happy in the lie.
It may crush my heart, tear me apart, i may not get another chance
Whatever it takes I got to start, I won't be idle, I need a second glance.
Reality has blurred into fiction,
The two have become one.
My fantasy has come true
I finally have you.

You guys are depressing, and occasionally creepy. <3

Allow me to throw in something a little more game-related - a rabble-rousing political ballad, spun by an aging adventurer from far, far-off lands...

Crossbow-strings winch!
Armor-straps cinch!
Up your sword, down your pikes, teeth are all clenched!
Every young lad wanting cover or trench!
Banners all raised!
Trumpets, they blaze!
All soldiers thinks this the end of all days!
Young recruits boldened by glory's new haze!

Defenders gathered, all marching from Lor,
Adventurers, sellswords and heroes of yore,
March through the night, and upon the first light
The gate are a charnel field, dripping with gore.

Blademasters fight!
Arrows take flight!
Warriors defending against Rael's foul might!
Determined to beat back the shadow-dwarf's blight!
Patriot's arms!
Shield them from harm!
Steel meeting steel, the battlefield's song!
But through our lines still, the en'my plows on...

Heroic blood staining cobblestones red,
The healers' aid granted, saving the near-dead
But it's not enough, the fight is too rough,
To save what's remaining, the heroes, they fled.

Fall back and run!
This fight is done!
Back at the citadel, we stand as one!
Knowing our chances of holding were none.
Onward they poured!
Heading the horde:
Rael himself, fancying to be a lord
Off'ring save passage, to lay down the sword...

We laid down our banners, called quarter, did all
Accepting the price of the capitol's fall
But some remain, plot to rise up again,
Plan to reclaim Pranzis at the first call...

Many accept, now, that 'Lord' Rael does rule...
Deny reconstruction and you'll be the fool.
But is it true, good he claims to do?
Think hard for yourself, don't be commonlaw's tool!

Some still consider this tyranny's win;
I count myself one of them, outside and in.
I am very proud, and will say it quite loud,
My love of my homeland cannot be a sin!

~ Pyyran Rahth, 1416 (554 CE)

Cheesy Somewhere around halfway through, he'd have the crowd, and the music helps the lyrics sound a bit less funky towards the end... But it definitely raised sentiment for the rebellion.

Lol I love that! I know this probably sounds kind of girly, but I read romance novels, and when I read them, I think of Shadowmoor, but mainly of the barbarians because the highlanders in my romance novels are similar Smiley
but this gave me a lovely visual and then as for music, I would say Nightwish is most appropriate ^_^

-The Dwarven Brothers-

As we stand together, two against all
We stand as one, shields up strong.

This is our conclusion, inevitable defeat.
We advance one step, the earth solid beneath our feet.

The rhythm of marching, the beginning of the end,
Death itself dancing on the wind, So far we have come

Brothers in life, together no matter the strife.
We will endure till the end, and together we shall fall.

Beowulf Imitation-Introduce a hero/ine of your own making-20 lines.

Back before the beginning of history
His highness the royal ring-giver
With countenance crossed with blue-woad
Had sought to sire a son,, an heir
Did find he had a daughter, a pearl of dawn
And yet she was dedicated to divine Diana
Goddess of Hart and Hunt
Andiriiana, pearl of dawn did grow
A woman now become a beauty
Andiriiana whose arrow true did never fail
Her sword sang from silver scabbard
Within her hands always to strike true
But was cold and hard of heart
Closed and cloistered from her would-be suitors
Only an Apollo, twin to her Artemis
Would suit this womanly slayer of fiends
One day on field of fiery combat he appeared
A warrior whose wits and ways could match her own
A perfect match they'd make, to grace her hall
But pon him she'd bring trials to test his worth

Chaucer "Canterbury Tales" Imitation-Introduce your own Canterbury Pilgrim-20 lines

And 'lo, I saw, taking up the rear,
A maid true fair, with eyen blue and clear.
Her raiment was glowing, soft and clean
This lass did not live beyond her means
Her brow was crowned with leaves and flowers
Upon her mount she rode for hours
Her face was bright with comfort and cheer
A witch of the world, to travel a year
Faithful greyhound came alongside
Fond companion, nothing to hide
Apace beside her traveled her mate
A man of men, a yeoman great
His bow was mighty, his arrows sleek
His aim was true, and heart never meek
He had captured fair maiden's heart
Vowing to let nothing keep them apart
She tended his wounds, kept illness at bay
Young Pagan training for year and a day
In his embrace she hadn't a care
Love rose in study's stead, all unaware

Sonnet Imitations

Shakespearean

Will you grace me with this your lover's touch?
Cheek to cheek, perhaps your hand touching mine
Never have I yearned for any as such
Is there another soul nearly so fine?
While we need not speak let it never end
Let our souls hold the conversation dear
A touch, our lips to be as closest friends
Bright enlightenment was never so clear
When we are parted my heart loudly weeps
My arms and legs, filled with mourning do cry
The seat of my mind, my head dares  not sleep
And all of my appetites do run dry
So long as I have you and you have me,
Never shall we be two, but shall be 'we'.

Spenserian

She bore the morning star upon her brow
Her hair the flaxen gold of summer's wheat
The captain's daughter fair hands on the prow
Her lips were made of rose, her kisses sweet
Though none would know, those courting knights she beat
Her father raised her skilled in sword and bow
With her cunning and wit she need not cheat
From her words and deeds her beauty did show
Her heart had been given was bound to ocean's flow

Named was she Andirianna dawn's pearl
Clearly she was born of Aphrodite
Many there were who sought this darling girl
She danced through life her steps places so lightly
But take not for granted, her sword mighty
She guards her heart, it beats solely for one
Her true courtly love, a man fit for she
His strength passing hers, his skin much like dun
Though they were parted the story has just begun

Milton Imitation-invoke an emotional inspiration in the style of L'Allegro and Il Penseroso (20 lines)

Hence from my side, blasted joy
Be gone Pan's flute, sweet and youthful creature
Forceful e'er present feature
Expected obvious needy young boy
Go to one more willing
Whose bright temperament suits you more fully
Ever touch so cruelly
I can bear your horrid touch no longer
Let the dark grow stronger
Let the despair consume me ever filling
But come sweet sorrow comfort me
Blood wine take me beneath dark sea
Morpheus kiss me, take me down
Under your spell just let me drown
A cool dark place to find myself
I see no lights upon the shelf
Myself alone a pen in hand
Drown in the tears of this dark land
Morpheus, love, a kiss so sharp
Darling, please, tell them 'burn thy harp'

It has been said that " Love conquers all!"
If this be true then all we have to do win this war that is waged is love one Another
how ludicrous in both thought and deed is this saying?
If we just love with all our hearts then every obstacle will be conquered and every war won?
What inane group of philosopizing morons came up with that saying?
I believe it was those cowards who are indeed afraid to pick up a weapon and stand for something.
I believe it must have been someone who has never had to fight for something a day in there miserable lives!

We are citizens of the greatest town in the oasis!
We are citizens of shadowmoor and if we will not lay down our lives to protect her.
Then that makes us a citizenry of cowards!
Let us take up arms and defend our town!
Let us band together for that which matters.

If you must believe in that ludicrous saying.
If you prescribe to the belief " love conquers all!"
Then take up a sword for the love of shadowmoor. the love of your familys or if nothing else.
Tkae up a sword for the love of battle and thrill of victory; but to sit and believe that love in and of itself wins wars.
I say you are an idiot!
To sit by not lifting a finger and wishing that an idea will win your war.
That makes you a coward.

Taking up arms.
Whether it be to protect your home , your family or love as an ideal held in your heart.
That makes you a hero.

So let it be remembered that the citizen of shadowmoor.
In spite of being outnumbered.
Took up arms, dorve back the enemy and lived ot fight another day!
Let it be remembered that " these few stood against many and even if we do not claim victory. Our children and there children will remember this day and they will keep fighting; because this is SHADOWMOOR!"

Please all who read this. let me know what you think and be honest. i know the last line sounds a lot like the line from the movie 300; but hey i was just writing and that is what came out lol.
