I am sort of in between wishing it were sooner and glad that I have time. I still haven't had a chance to start punting my armor together and I want it to be ready by next event.

The answer is no.

I have a lot going on with work, weapons construction for MT, the random drama that makes its way into my life, and the ever constant money issues that pervade my existence due to having a kind heart.  I need the time to prep for when I can play the nice guy that will destroy reality as you all know it for fun and profit... er play the nice guy who will defend all those who cannot defend themselves for free at the expense of his own well being.

Seriously, take this time to contemplate where you want your character to go and what you need to do to get them there.  Our plot team for 2010 is likely standing by (as far as sitting at a computer is standing by) to answer your questions and provide guidance on how to make your character progress in the path you want.  Talk/kiss up to your local plot members and see how you can get the most out of the game.  As you do so, remember that Plot's job is to entertain all the people who play SOLAR from older veterans, to the brand new players, to the people who haven't shown up to play yet, to Keith, Becca, and the other members of Plot.  So if you ask for something crazy, be prepared to do something even crazier to obtain it or be told that you can't do it without years of roleplay and effort.  For if someone asks "How'd this person get to where they are?" there'd better be an epic story to describe it.  Our Plot team works hard so your character will have memorable experiences to share with others for years to come.  It's what you pay for, and you deserve it, so don't ask for semi-phenomenal-cosmic power/things and not expect to perform semi-phenomenal-cosmic deeds since that would cheapen the experience for everyone.

With that said, please consider the path of the tragic hero/heroine and how cool it would be to end up as one.  Ok, scratch that.  Consider how cool it would be to follow the path of a tragic hero, but survive the ordeal and end up ahead of the curve.  Now consider what it takes to get there and what you need to do to prepare.  NOW IS THE TIME FOR PREPARATION!  Make it count.

And get some rest at about 3-6 A.M.

And don't rob Minnamoto since he's already broke.

If you cant wait for March make a nice road trip to Clanthia.  I normally spend the Shadowmoor offseason in Jan-Feb in Clanthia and its awesome!  I know myself and several others will be there at the next gather.  Hope to see oyu guys there.
